Day 1: AKWAABA – A Warm Welcome to Ghana

Day 2: Accra – Unveiling the Vibrant Capital
Morning – Accra City Tour: After breakfast, we’ll dive into the heart of Accra, exploring its most iconic landmarks. Our tour will take us to Osu Castle, the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, Independence Square, and the W.E.B. DuBois Center, where we’ll gain a deeper understanding of Ghana’s history and its role in the Pan-African movement.
Afternoon – Cultural Immersion: Experience the rhythm of Ghana with a drumming lesson at the Accra Arts and Crafts Center, followed by a visit to the bustling Makola Market, where you can soak in the vibrant atmosphere and shop for local crafts.
Evening – Nightlife in Osu: After some relaxation at the hotel, those who wish can join an exploration of Osu’s lively nightlife, where the energy of Accra truly comes alive.
Day 3: Nature’s Wonders – Boti Waterfalls and Beyond
Morning – Journey to the Eastern Region: After breakfast, we’ll set off to the Eastern Region, a land of stunning natural beauty. Our first stop is the majestic Boti Waterfalls, where you can take a refreshing dip or simply marvel at the cascading waters.
Afternoon – Umbrella Rock and Aburi Botanical Gardens: After enjoying the falls, we’ll take a trip to the fascinating Umbrella Rock, perfect for capturing stunning photos. We’ll then conclude the day with a tranquil visit to the Aburi Botanical Gardens before returning to Accra.
Evening – Free Time: Choose to explore Accra’s vibrant nightlife or unwind at the hotel resort.
Day 4: Kumasi – The Seat of the Asante Kingdom
Morning – Departure to Kumasi: Following breakfast, we’ll depart for Kumasi, the historical heart of the Asante Kingdom. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and prepare for an immersive day of history.
Afternoon – Royal Heritage Tour: Begin with a visit to the Okomfo Anokye Sword Site, where the legend of the Asante Kingdom began. We’ll continue to the King Prempeh Museum and Manhyia Palace Museum, delving deeper into the cultural and historical significance of the Asante people.
Late Afternoon – Explore Kejetia Market: End the day at Kejetia Market, the largest open-air market in West Africa, before retiring to the hotel for a restful night in Kumasi.
Day 5: Cultural Immersion in Kumasi
Morning – Bonwire Kente Village: After breakfast, we’ll visit Bonwire Kente Village, where you’ll learn about the intricate art of Kente weaving and even try your hand at creating your own piece.
Early Afternoon – Adinkra: Next, we’ll visit Ntonso, a town renowned for its Adinkra symbol stamping. Here, you’ll engage in this ancient art form with deep cultural significance.
Late Afternoon – Naming Ceremony: The highlight of the day will be a traditional Naming Ceremony, where you will receive a unique soul name, reflecting your day of birth and the rich cultural heritage of the Asante people.
Evening – Relaxation in Cape Coast: After a culturally enriching day, retire to our hotel in Cape Coast to relax and reflect.
Day 6: Cape Coast – A Journey Through History and Kakum Rainforest Adventure
Morning – Cape Coast and Elmina Castles: After breakfast, we’ll travel to Cape Coast for an emotional and transformative tour of Cape Coast and Elmina Castles. As we walk through the Door of No Return, you’ll connect with the profound history of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, guided by experts who will share powerful stories of our ancestors. After the tour we will have time to reflect with lunch by the ocean.
Afternoon – Kakum National Park: Next we will head to Kakum National Park, home to Ghana’s famous canopy walkway. Experience the thrill of walking high above the forest floor, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the rainforest. We will also visit a local Stingless Bee Center to learn about sustainable honey production.
Evening – Unwind and Recharge: Return to our hotel in Cape Coast for a well-deserved rest.
Day 7: A Relaxing Return to Accra and a Memorable Farewell
- Morning – Breakfast and Departure: Start your morning with a delightful breakfast.
Mid-Morning – Arts and Crafts Market Experience: We’ll head to one of the city’s bustling local markets, renowned for its rich array of arts and crafts. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to browse and shop for unique, handcrafted souvenirs, from colorful textiles to intricate carvings and jewelry. This is the perfect chance to take home a piece of Ghana’s vibrant culture.
